Wedding in Amethyst and Pewter

We were all a little bit in love with this subtle color scheme - amethyst, gray, silver, lilac.  Like that powdery bloom on some plums.  Yummy, juicy, and soft all at once.  Dusty miller, lavender, silver brunia, mini callas, roses, hellebores...a little bling for the bride, some lace from the maids' gowns...

I've never done an event at Tower Hill Botanic Garden where the seating was outside in the courtyard as well as inside the Orangerie.  That's French for greenhouse for orange trees.  Ooh la la.  It felt very West coast.

You take your chances in New England, planning an outdoor event.  Statistically it rains more on Saturdays in the northeast than any other day of the week.  But it was a gorgeous day and the layout flowed beautifully.

The turtles were happy too.
