Prom Flower Blues

My baby's got the blues, but not over her prom flowers!

Blue is always a popular color for prom and 2012 is no different.  The selection of blue flowers for prom work is pretty small, but here is a sampler of things we can do that will go with blue.

Royal blue delphinium blossoms take center stage with a few white orchids in a supporting role in this prom set.  Notice the wee touch of blue feathers in the boutonniere!

More blue delphinium and white orchids, but this time with some interesting seed pods and polka dot foliage for a more exotic look.

Blue pearl wrist corsage bracelet with a delicate meadow of flowers, featuring a blue thistle-like flower also known as sea holly.

Blues and purples get paired up quite a bit - here purple orchids are accented with dainty Delft blue hyacinth blossoms.

And this wrist corsage has the purple orchids again, but with the stronger blue of the delphinium and a bold iridescent beaded bracelet.

Last but not least, we have aqua blue!  Not a color you can find in a natural flower, but between feathers, ribbon, and wire we can make a wrist corsage that complements an aqua gown.
