Rustic Woodland Wedding - Zukas Hilltop Barn

Ackk!  Wrote this post ages ago and somehow never published it.  Here you go:

Not sure I have ever led off a wedding post with a picture of the groom, but I can't resist! He's sporting my most favorite detail of this wedding which is the pine cone boutonniere - LOVE!

The bride was sweet enough to share some pictures with me - makes me very happy to see her all dolled up and in L O V E.

The happy couple!

Here are the details - the bride's bouquet was in shades of purple and white. Anemones, scabiosa, hellebores, dusty miller, freesia, waxflower, garden roses, sea star fern, tulips, fern shoots, and lilacs. A veritable treasure trove of spring blooms.

Oh, and pine cones! And a touch of birch bark around the handle. That was a challenge. Story for another day.

Bride's maids were similar but with a wee bit more white than purple, they had a birch bark "button" to finish off the bouquet handle.

A few blooms for he bride's hair. The bling is a pair of earrings that were repurposed, on purpose. ;)

Tiny corsage...raffia bow, orchid, and yes, a pine cone.

Ta da! My favorite bit! In fact, I so love these pine cone boutonnieres , I may require all of my weddings to have them.

Sweet!
