Boston Public Library Wedding

We just did our second Boston Public Library wedding! I have to say, anything that combines flowers and books, makes me really, really happy. :-)

The bride wanted a relaxed look to her bouquet, and white hydrangeas are her favorite. We also included dahlias, baby green hydrangeas, waxflower, early snowberries (where on earth did those come from right now???), "Green Eye" roses, green dendrobium orchids, and freesia.

They chose a very neutral color palette to go with the maids periwinkle blue dresses. The maids bouquets were similar to he bride's except they also included some sunny summery yellow dahlias, ranunculus (I know, a spring flower in summer - they're from Chile!), and "Limoncello" spray roses.

The reception was in a different reading room from our previous wedding here - this room was more intimately scaled.

Centerpieces were super simple - white and baby green hydrangeas, and white dahlias - that's it. All in a vase with a mercury style glass pedestal. Clusters of books with blue covers complete the look and hint at the maids' dresses.

Yup - books! You have no idea how tempting it was, but no, I did not sneak up there and check it out. Sigh...I need a library of my own.

Can someone else get married here please? And maybe invite us to the wedding?!

Nice use of those greeny garden roses! I haven't yet used them for anything. That bouquet is pretty!

I wish wish I would do a BPL wedding. I've got one pending, but it's dicey. I love the room here.

Thanks! My customers seem to love Green Eye roses. OK, a few hate them, but more love than hate.

Hope you get that BPL wedding - I want to see pics!
