UPDATED Flower Calendar!

UPDATED FLOWER CALENDAR!!!

I'm trying to make a calendar of Sprout's events and other floral events that you might find interesting. OK, it's stuff that I find interesting, and I'm hoping that if I write it all down here, I might actually get to and/or accomplish most of it!

It's certainly not comprehensive, and I'm bound to update it at some point, but it's a start. Go - mark these things on your calendar!!!

March 19: Prom Pop-Up Shop at Sprout. Had fun last year, hope to do it even better this year!

March 6 - 13: Philadelphia Flower Show. I've never been, and it's silly considering how close it is. It's the largest indoor flower show in the world!

March 16 - 20: Boston Flower & Garden Show. This show nearly died a couple years ago, but it survives and is at the Seaport World Trade Center.

March 18 - 20: Welcome Spring! Floral interpretations of the Worcester Ecotarium.

April 29: The Royal Wedding. Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot. Will you be watching?!

April 30 - May 2: Art in Bloom. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts annual art and flowers event. Here's the updated link.

May 14: Prom Pop-Up Shop at Sprout. Had fun last year, hope to do it even better this year with a second one in May!

May 22: Turtle Boy Statue Clean Up. Worcester's own Turtle Boy statue gets shown some love. Not waiting for waist high weeds this year!

June 15 - 19: World Association of Flower Arrangers. This is big people. Really big. Only held on a different continent every 3 years and the last one was cancelled when the prime minister of Pakistan was shot, so this event is anxiously awaited by flower lovers around the globe - and it's here in Boston! If you only schedule one flower thing, this might be it. But of course you won't only schedule one, right?!

July 4 -9: American Institute of Floral Design's National Symposium. It's in San Francisco and you need to be a floral designer or a floral student to attend, but if you can't go, follow #AIFD on Twitter at the beginning of July to see what all the fuss is about.

September 24: Sprout turns 11 in 2011. Not a milestone like last year, but any excuse for cupcakes!

September 30: Deadline for Boston Flower Exchange scholarship. There's a $5000 scholarship out there for a New England student of floriculture or ornamental horticulture. Go for it!

December 1 - 15: FREE Christmas Wreaths for Worcester businesses. Yes, our 4th year of making the Woo a slightly brighter place at the holidays!

That's what I've got so far - I'll keep you posted on any updates or new events. Write some of this stuff down, really. You'll thank me later!
